Ludacris says Soulja Boy isn't the first rapper to pilot a plane
Soulja Boy tend to boast about being the first rapper to achieve anything, but he had to take back one of his most recent assertions.
On October 12, Big Draco released a video on social media depicting himself in the cockpit of a plane with a pilot preparing for departure. "I am the first rapper to fly an airplane. Let's go, we're about to go in the air," he says in the video. "Are you ready for this? Let's do this.

The "Crank Dat" rapper may not have been aware with Snoop Dogg's role as Captain Mack in Soul Plane (2004).
Ludacris, who has released videos of himself flying planes while studying for his pilot's license dating back to 2021, jumped into Soulja Boy's comments section with a simple remark to correct his fellow rapper, putting a pondering emoji with a palm over its chin. Plenty of admirers supported the rapper-turned-actor's assertion, and Soulja took notice. Big Draco did some homework and bent the knee to Ludacris before giving him the rap pilot title belt.
"I just saw your video, you did it first," Soulja Boy replied to Luda, using a gold medal emoji.
Ludacris appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in June 2021, when he addressed his flying videos and explained that, while he owns an aircraft, he does not hold a pilot's license.
"That's known as a 'nickel ride.' That word dates back to the military days. So, this is my first time flying," he informed the comic at the time. "I own an aircraft, but I've never wanted to be a pilot since you can't drink within eight hours of flying. "Who wants to go on a vacation and not drink before leaving?"
Ludacris went on to say, "Long story short, that's the first of many, but I hope to get my pilot's license soon." It's a work in progress; it will take some time.
