Hayley Williams of Paramore speaks out against Donald Trump at iHeartRadio Music Festival
Hayley Williams expressed her opinions about Donald Trump at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival.
On Friday, September 20, the Paramore singer took a moment during the rock band's performance of "Big Man, Little Integrity" at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena to express her feelings about the Republican presidential nominee, who is running against Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming United States presidential election.

"Project 2025 is Donald Trump's playbook for controlling and punishing women, poor people, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community," Williams stated, gazing into a camera livestreaming the event on Hulu. "It is time for all Americans to unite and finally defeat the Trump agenda. The only way to do this is to confront him at the polls. Do you want to live under a dictatorship? So, turn up and vote.
This is not the first time Williams has criticized Republican legislators for anti-LGBTQ+ measures. Last year, during a performance at the Adjacent Music Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the vocalist of "Ain't It Fun" slammed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
"If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you are f—ing dead to me. "Is that comfortable for anyone?" She informed the crowd.
Earlier this year, Paramore denied a Tennessee resolution commemorating the group for its Grammy triumph, after lawmakers in the state opposed a similar resolution honoring Allison Russell.
"This week, Rep. Justin Jones introduced resolutions to congratulate my band, Paramore, and another Nashville-based musician, Allison Russell, for their recent Grammy wins (as far as I know, these resolutions have no legislative weight). Williams told The Tennesseean, "They're like a big high five or when the whole restaurant joins in to sing you "Happy Birthday"." "House Republicans only allowed the legislation recognizing Paramore's victory to pass. They blocked Allison's."
The Paramore singer went on to say, "Our state leadership's blatant racism is embarrassing and cruel." "Myself and Paramore will continue to encourage young people to vote with equality in mind."
